# Milestone > > Milestone (Milestone LLC) is a small, residential "failure to launch" program in Layton, Utah, for young men ages 18 to 25. It combines live-in coaching, life skills, executive functioning coaching, academic and career development, and family support in a home-based setting, helping young men who are struggling with the transition to independent adulthood. ## About Milestone grew out of Live Strong House, a relationship-based therapeutic program for adolescent boys, and is presented as the next step for young men moving into adulthood. It carries forward Live Strong House's values of humility, courage and resilience. Milestone's founders are Paul Taylor (Executive Director), Mark Spalding, LCSW (Executive Clinical Director) and Aaron "Eddie" Edwards (Executive Program & Finance Director). The program is intentionally small, with six young adults at a time, and provides 24/7 live-in support so residents can practice skills in a real home setting. It describes itself as bridging clinical support and real-world independence. The team includes licensed clinical social workers (LCSWs) as primary therapists, a nurse practitioner, a registered nurse, an academic director and tutors, life coaches and administrative staff. Milestone's philosophy draws on Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) and mindfulness: learning to notice triggers and automatic beliefs, pause before responding, and think flexibly. Its guiding pillars are resilience, grit, character and self-discipline. ## Services ### Coaching - [Coaching](https://milestone.vip/coaching/): Individual coaching and counseling, group therapy (trauma, anxiety, social skills, resilience, habits and communication), weekly family therapy, adventure and recreation, community service and daily community meetings. Therapeutic modalities include ACT, DBT, REBT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing and Solution-Focused Therapy. - [Live-In Coaching](https://milestone.vip/live-in-coaching/): Consistent, hands-on coaching in a real home setting, with reminders, reinforcement and accountability throughout the day to turn new skills into habits.
